It has recently opened the Biennale of Electronic Arts Perth , Perth (Australia), an event whose main theme this year is the 'locus', ie the analysis of the paradox of how this is perpetually physically isolated and connected virtually. The impressive event search the intersection between art, technology and science through exhibitions and international conferences. Three exhibitions were put on in parallel, appropriately themed: Immersion, BioFeel and Screening. In 'Immersion', curated by Christopher Malcolm there are works by Donna Cox, Char Davies, Robert Nideffer, Kenneth Rinaldo, Stelarc, David Carson and Victoria Vesna who, along with Jim Gimzewski has a new installation in preview: 'Zero @ wavefunctions Nano dreams and nightmares'. In 'Biofeel', curated by Oron Catts, opens, however, a glimpse of the impressive work of the group of SymbioticA, including the famous project 'Fish & Chips' already presented in 2001 at Ars Electronica, as well as other artists, including Martha de Menezes with his 'portraits protein'. 'Screen', however, curated by Pauline Williams, consists of media installations focused on the kinematics of the works, including some experiments on projection mode. It also has five international conferences included in the program, including the fourth research organization CAiiA-STAR conference entitled 'Consciousness Reframed 2002: Non-Local, Non-linear, Non-Ordinary'.
