Eclectic Tech Carnival, a hackmeeting for women in Athens.

From June 30 to July 6, 2003 in Athens, Greece, takes life day and night Eclectic Tech Carnival , described as "a seven day and night carnival of exchanging computer related skills". With a difference: organized by women for women. Nerds are invited international video-activists, radio star, programmatrici, designers, geeks, passionate about computers and philosophy free. / Etc was born in 2002 in Pula, Croatia and lands for the first time in Athens, involving all those who love the computer and want to learn to play with the bits. Of course, the beloved software is free, making it accessible and manipulable by all the source code, by encouraging collective creations, beyond all barriers, including language. A sort of hackmeeting the feminine, which provide basic courses on the computer, PC hardware, using Linux for beginners, on networking, privacy and PGP, on scripting language, on open publishing, on 'hacker ethic ("get your hands into computers"). Simply register by e-mail or via the web and to contribute with only 3 € per day.
