Whilst based on some aesthetic archetypes of cyberpunk (Eastern reconfigured female body with the assistance of robots, the slums of the metropolis, smoke and neon lights, shiny surfaces and other organically dirty), the short films of the pair of New Yorkers Violet Suk and Martin Koch have a personal narrative and absolutely contemporary with the camera occhieggiamenti typical of the spots and the changes of the field and then accelerated to slow in strategic moments. The two projects, which are available from the site in quicktime reflect these techniques acquired, as in Response 3 , latest development in a series of short, mixing rituals isolationist and cloned bodies, a mutation in the body between its representation / digital construction and a destabilizing likelihood. In Retina, transformation through body enhancements and manipulation , however, the intervention of a graft of the eyeball is carried out through passages almost choreographic, gestures with both fluids from human components that by mechanical ones, in a scroll of the sequence that closely resembles to a piece of music syncopation.
