I’m Steve Jobs.’ And he looked so young, like a college guy. And he told me that he would still send me one now. And then he gave me a lesson on drawing with it. It only comes in black and white now, but they’ll make it soon in color…I felt so old and out of it with this young whiz guy right there who helped invent it.”

DIG.IT, the 2nd Annual Festival of Digital Media , is an annual festival hosted by the Walker Art Center, which focuses on digital video and creative use of small cameras can produce good results if you use for a discerning artists. This year there were five young Chinese artists invited independent offering many visions of the unpredictable and jarring transformations of their nation (Wang Jian-wei, Wang Guofeng, Zhao Liang, Du Hai-Bin and Zhang Bo), in addition to establishing a constructive collaboration with German ZKM Center for Art in Karlsruhe and the French Fresnoy National Studio for Contemporary Arts. Particularly interesting, then, 'Quake! Doom! Sims! Transforming Play: Family Albums and Monster Movies', an evening of movies and machinima made with the engine of famous video game, curated by Katie Salen.
