01:08:02 9 Beet Stretch, Beethoven's Ninth dilated digitally.
9 Beet Stretch consists of a digital processing of the famous Ninth Symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven, adapted to a total running time of twenty-four hours, making it, according to its makers 'closer than ever to eternity'. The movements were divided into lengths of about 1 hour and twenty minutes each, but the strong point is the use of software 'SND' which has expanded the times without additional distortions. The work was presented at Free Manifesta (against the event as an alternative to 'Manifest' Journal), and represents an alteration of reality sound, as it is normally known, similar to the alterations carried out with photographic retouching software. Here are the memory and perception of the way to go, concentrating on creative mystification of one of the key elements of music: time.
