Recoil, magnetic clothes.

If the Japanese guys continue to amaze the West for their habit of dressing up (the so-called 'cosplay', ie 'costume play') as fictional characters (the protagonists of films, cartoons, and so on), the factor 'clothing' in Eastern culture plays a major role in communication. Presented last Break 2.2 festival, Recoil is an installation to wear which consists in a vestitoin which were incorporated small and powerful magnets. These numerous and prove destabilizing consequences applied to different urban locations. In the narrow spaces of the metropolitan, for example, would result in unpredictable physical connections between people and objects, sometimes completely inappropriate. This will not only redefined the forces that regulate the flow of urban life, but the environmental and social rules, distorted by the new magnetic attractions. These also have another property, namely that of frequently erase the data contained on magnetic media (telephone cards, credit cards, …), from which the wearer creates a kind of data-free area distorting the configurations that are on his way into a quiet and unsuspecting vandalism. The whole thing is also designed to sottilineare the invasiveness of digital technologies in everyday life, increasing the awareness of the body in the environment.
