Computer virii are an extreme form of communication, infused with the appeal of the unrestrained reproduction normally associated with the organic universe. CyberZoo tries to make possible to experience them in a controlled way, and, paraphrasing the advertisements of zoos a hundred years ago, the author Gustavo Romano describes it as a collection of the wilder species in the world which you can observe completely safely. The original code, caged within the bounds of an art show, is nonetheless visually enjoyable, dispelling the evil aura which usually surrounds these programs. This project also aims at researching and preserving digital viral species with an attempt at classifying them, a plea for donations (money or other virii), and a program for the preservation of dying viral species
