Simulation of taste.

The MusicGenome, Inc. has announced the development of Musical Matchmaking, a technology that tries to learn and simulate the taste of a listener listening customized to provide suggestions. All this translates into a series of algorithms denominated Music Recommendation Engine, which create 'music profiles' following the reactions of a user to a series of short tracks sample. Based on the data collected, the analysis is done according to the parameters developed by some professional musicians, with special regard to cognitive theories of music. For this reason, recommended songs are not always the same kind preferred by the user, but it may choose to restrict a priori the circle to its language or a certain mood. A first trade agreement was tight with Tower Records Israel for its e-commerce and its e-kiosk interactive.
