The intervention nell'ineluttabile stream of video images is one of the conceptual challenges and policies from the beginning of the era of broadcasting, and the different strategies that have been conducted over the years have highlighted the predicament that causes the remix of the sequences and their consequent change of meaning. The American artist Barbara Lattanzi has explored this terrain very difficult times with elaborate software that allow radical re-readings of the movies and their narrative structure. In his works, including AMG Strain , EG Serene , Surface Tension , You are late , there is a thread formed by putting into crisis the sequence of images that make up the video. In the last realization, Interrupting Annotator , the flow of the video can be interrupted at any time to add textual annotations, written in his own hand or automatically drawn to popular texts available to the user. In this way the power of the written word dynamically re-contextualizes the products, storing user intervention and making it another potential weapon to the inevitability of the paradigm of broadcasting.
