Bodytag.org is the site which collects the experiments of Glen Murphy, an artist and programmer from Melbourne (Australia). Murphy can extract wonderful things from java and proce55ing, especially when he investigates simulations and movements of abstract shapes, fluid in their motions and artificially natural in their appearance. Most applications keep track of the mouse movement and need a few seconds to activate. Highlights are, among many others: ‘Smoke2’, a slow smoke simulation, the flocks of moving lines in ‘Caught in Plastic’, ‘Esite’, with its continuous forming of digital veils in grey shades, the incredible moire effect of ‘Lines of Force’, the minimal 3D rotations of ‘Spun4’, the simulated drops of ‘Water Ripple’, the organic graphic movements of ‘Maya4’, the interactive vector architectures of ‘Bezekric’, the generation of squared elements according to armonic rhythms of ‘2Cascade’.
