I said that once some man had been calling me a lot wanting to give me one, but that I’d never called him back or something, and then the kid looked up and said, ‘Yeah, that was me. I’m Steve Jobs.’ And he looked so young, like a college guy. And he told me that he would still send me one now. And then he gave me a lesson on drawing with it. It only comes in black and white now, but they’ll make it soon in color…I felt so old and out of it with this young whiz guy right there who helped invent it.”

29.08.02 Doves, a window on the world screen saver.
The window, before being a metaphor of a frame to the screen that contains information that is homogeneous, it was a glimpse outside, to the rest of the world out of a room moves living his life independent of our gaze. The TV with its first frame that contains man-made transmissions in the world, and graphical user interfaces then with the fragmentation and overlap of the same metaphor made more abstract the concept of 'window'. Doves of the collective work of software art Bluish fray again cards, producing a freely downloadable screen saver that shows the view of a building American, which is updated via the web reflecting the changes of day and night, the sounds of sirens and the flicker of the television light behind the curtains in the evening hours. A miniature world that simulates a real window into the frame of the monitor, bringing the flow (fictional) reality in visual habits in apparent break of the user.
