Antonio Della Marina – Fades

Antonio Della Marina

CD – I Dischi Di Angelica
Loops with different lengths, mixed with a computer with a 432Hz carrier signal, a careful choice of chords reminiscent of the classical tradition and expressed in a minimal way, which is also a result of the author’s research on alternative tuning systems and on harmonic structures. Fades was born in 2001 as an audio-installation, with a penchant for random combinations, an element that gets unavoidably lost in the editing to make this CD, where the oscillators’ parameters are widened and balanced in each single frequency to obtain more tangled strictures and unexpected three-dimensional effects. This is a great production that bodes well for the this artist’s career, who’s about to release something for the Portuguese label Sirr Records, too.
