Sometimes the online world reveals unsuspected parallel dimensions. This is an unknown restyle of Neural independently (and secretly as we never knew about it) made by NY-based Motion and Graphic Designer, Clarke Blackham. Very nicely made, perhaps only a bit glossier for the magazine’s line, it testifies once more how even your most familiar outcomes can have another life somewhere else.
2CD – Xl Records
This is a work made of microtonal music elaborated by Warren Burt, an American composer, film maker and videoartist who moved to Australia in the seventies. He’s an experimenter used to mixing electronic sounds in performative iterations and confront with other disciplines. He’s a skilled atmosphere builder, even when forced to continuously iterate elements and melodies with only minimal variations. This project is composed of two CDs, and it’s pleasant to get lost into the minimal and hypnotic spires of these tracks, made of soothing cerebral plays full of bells and strange armonies.
