Ping-Reset by Bart Koppe is an installation where 36 internet routers attached to the ceiling are rebooted when functioning, making an attached object to make a sound, creating an orchestrated symphony generated by ping and reset.
In the representation of the sound waveforms and spectrograms resides production of images that highlights the specific characteristics of frequanze analyzed in a graphical snapshot photographing the sound itself in a sufficiently precise. Sound 2D Warper is a free software capable of transform these images. After opening the sound file and have it accurately represented, the program allows a graphic distortion performed in a controlled manner, generating successively the sound variations, which can also be saved as a new audio file. The graphics processing sound is so an additional mode of expression, further contributing to the crumbling of the barriers that still remain in the conceptual production of different media.
