Ryota Kuwakubo calls itself a 'device artist', but in reality is a skilled artist who builds software and electronic gadgets alone. Each work is meticulous attention to detail and features a design without the slightest smear. The site is a rundown of its products both tangible and intangible. Among the former are the PLX, a games console that allows self-built minimal competition between two players, the Vomoder, a message recorder interface and anthropomorphic Bitman, a kind of tamagotchi in which a little man dancing in pixels stimulated by 'user. The same Bitman you can enjoy one of the small pieces of software programmed in Java in the section. It is more or less interactive small animations called TinyToys, investigating the perception of technology with ease, including Appendix with a version of the video game Asteroids, in which you earn points riclando the wreckage of artificial satellites. Kuwakubo received an 'Honorary Mention' in the category Interactive Art for the next edition of Ars Electronica.
