In a public statement the RTMark have reported the successful darkening of the satirical website (Dow-chemical.com) dedicated to the Dow Chemical Corporation . The latter is involved in the environmental disaster in Bhopal, India, which killed 20,000 people and 500,000 were intoxicated until now, without that the site has been reclaimed in 18 years. The same Dow offset each victim family members with a figure swinging from 300 to 500 dollars. After the discovery of the parody on the web, the corporation has sent to Verio, which has the hosting of the site, a notification based on the DMCA, and the latter had done at first to 'turn off' the entire network Thing.net that housed , ousting from the network countless other activists and artists who constantly use the space. RTMark has voluntarily removed the pages targeted to allow others to come back online, but the fake press release from the Dow is still present in many other pages that have published, as Politechbot.com , and being in perfect style RTMark did not fail to deceive many, and activating incredulous threads in forums and discussion groups, and embodying another shining example of media activism with the mechanisms of the network.
