I’m Steve Jobs.’ And he looked so young, like a college guy. And he told me that he would still send me one now. And then he gave me a lesson on drawing with it. It only comes in black and white now, but they’ll make it soon in color…I felt so old and out of it with this young whiz guy right there who helped invent it.”

It was inaugurated on December 6 Medi @ terra 02 New Platforms the annual Athens Festival on new media. This year has as its theme the 'platforms' as combinations of technologies and collective vision, which give space for ideas. Moreover, the 'platforms', understood in the industry, are places waiting to be transported elsewhere, and just this concept embodying the festival dedicates particolcare attention to virtual reality and digital cinema, as reflected in the conference program. The installations are: 'icinema' by Jeffrey Shaw, a space immersive and interactive narrative, 'Bubbles' by Wolfgang Muench and Kiyoshi Furukawa, a kind of augmented reality that allows users to trace the shadows to play with the bubbles projected onto a wall, 'Cosycorner' by Pierre Bongiovanni, an artistic urban, and 'Amy DV' interaction with three-dimensional virtual characters in real time. Also four performances: 'Swim', an exercise in 'remote intimacy', by Helen Varley Jamieson & Avatar Body Collision, 'ACT 5: Imaginations_Thaumaturgies of the Soul, SCENES 7N Thaumaturgies' del Teatre Virtual, an example of the presence of the network to 'inside of a play,' NEW MEDIA: old school vs. new school tactics abstractions' of MxHz.org, 'business cards' with microfilmed abstract, and' problemarket.com – Problem Stock Exchange 'by Davide Grassi and Igor Stromajer , a 'bag' of problems, with all the characteristics of the market applied to immaterial goods 'difficult', which, in fact, the problems are.
