The latest proposal of the newly-appointed Richard A. Clarke (see For the U.S. arrive superassalti computer ) Special Advisor to the cybersecurity of Bush, is the creation of a special communication network completely separate from the Internet, which in this way would be less vulnerable to external attacks. The project was named GovNet and, although there is no estimate of the cost, we can assume an investment of several hundred million dollars if the infrastructure was approved. Doubts discounted come from associations in defense of the freedom of citizens who see the dangers of inaccessibility of the citizens themselves to government sources in a trend that could prove very dangerous. Clarke also stated that if the hypothesis turns out to be too expensive might be abandoned, but in the meantime the U.S. administration had asked the major telecommunications network of the estimates, while Democratic Senator Ron Wyden said "The question that arises is: What would you do with the same money in order to access the agencies in a way the Internet as secure as we already have? ".
