Motion + Melody, the body as a sequencer.

The timeline that indicates precisely which sounds are performed by the sequencer is an icon of the media temporal (time-based media), and in itself embodies the concept of 'play', which originated in the hardware keys of reproduction, through a representation visual (the line) that interacts with the user's choices. In Motion + Melody , the body is interpreted as a set of sound data, and its movements determine the variation, which is scanned in a thin strip of space and interpreted / rebuilt and synchronized into two components, namely audio and video. Developed by Marc Taiwanese Lin, the work is inspired by the work of Myron Krueger, but it is capable of incorporating the paradigm of sequencing without any trimming, adding a playful component derived from the mirror of our own images taken by the video scanning device. Another added feature is that of the scratching that, through a turntable connected, allows to manipulate the images and temporally related sounds generated at will, by scrolling back and forth the data. The time, therefore, and his 'present', represented by the line sequencing, is the sense of the interaction and its manipulation allows un'illusorio audio visual and momentary aesthetic control.
