Saturday, March 1, the New York Center for the Media Arts presents an event exceptional, that builds on technologies for low-fi grossed a different conception of live concert. It's called Tune (In))) and will take place over more than sixty artists who will perform at the six transmitters set up for the event. No sound will pass through the space surrounding the musicians, while the public will be equipped with radios with headphones and concert program to listen to performances that are taking place on the respective frequencies. Obviously it is possible to bring your own radio + headset from home doing 'zapping Radio' with your family device. In addition to a program of turntablism, there are the live performance of the generation of sounds from the archive of Robin Rimboud aka Scanner, and a set that includes the soundtracks of video art curated by Gary Hill, Kristin Lucas, Nam June Paik, Steina and Woody Vasulka and others. Alternatively, once you are on the spot, you can always tune into commercial radio, or take off your headphones and listen to the minimal noise of the various rooms of transmission.
