I said that once some man had been calling me a lot wanting to give me one, but that I’d never called him back or something, and then the kid looked up and said, ‘Yeah, that was me. I’m Steve Jobs.’ And he looked so young, like a college guy. And he told me that he would still send me one now. And then he gave me a lesson on drawing with it. It only comes in black and white now, but they’ll make it soon in color…I felt so old and out of it with this young whiz guy right there who helped invent it.”

Concrete_Maschine is a conceptual work of Johannes Auer which is inspired by the historical avant-garde and their radical practices in respect of language processing. In proclaiming the 'corruption of language' and his role of 'code of power', tries to break its dominant interpretive schemes through un'algoritmica interpretation of the text. This, in fact, once analyzed is made in a 5×5 matrix with panes proportional occorenza of the letters inside. After entering text in Cubism and Dadaism, dissolutions dada of words into sounds, the reduction to the individual letters of Lettrists and concrete poems of the seventies, this quantization aseptic digests all the pasted text in the window, or specified by a URL. And sending in dissolution signs and meanings, restructuring the language in an abstract and ruthless.
