Jukebox Collective is an experiment of collective participation in a project inaugurated in 'far' 1996 by Frenchman Jerome Joy, with the specific intent to combine the spontaneous donation of tracks to be released for public use by the spatio-temporal limits of the respective artists. The work of Joy, in fact, brilliantly combines the infrastructure of the network to those of traditional art, illustrating the project properly and invitanto all those who want to be part to make their contributions available in a publicly accessible url and then periodically agreeing l ' exposure of a real jukebox with all the songs received, and availed of in a public space (museum or coffee that is). So far nearly 600 artists are involved with more than 1500 songs in total forming an experimental database that includes names such as Lee Ranaldo & Christian Marclay, Roberto Paci Dalò, Battery Operated, Kim Cascone, Paul Demarinis, Tetsuo Furudate, Valery Grancher, Illusion Of Safety , John Klima, Asmus Tietchens, Janek Schaeffer, Pete Namlook and Francisco Lopez.
