I said that once some man had been calling me a lot wanting to give me one, but that I’d never called him back or something, and then the kid looked up and said, ‘Yeah, that was me. I’m Steve Jobs.’ And he looked so young, like a college guy. And he told me that he would still send me one now. And then he gave me a lesson on drawing with it. It only comes in black and white now, but they’ll make it soon in color…I felt so old and out of it with this young whiz guy right there who helped invent it.”

Timescape is another work of net art of Reinald Drouhin focused on the visual flow of the pixels in the network (see Rhizomes, the collective image. ). From the question about what can be put on show of the internet, the artist has dug a script that goes to extrapolate the images snatched by search engines and encases in a grid distorting them, if necessary, to reduce and square dimensions. At any time of the day you can have this view of visual data, which changes as the alternation of light and dark in an ecosystem governed by millions of processors, cables and lines of program that crowd of data, such as air oxygen.
