It only comes in black and white now, but they’ll make it soon in color…I felt so old and out of it with this young whiz guy right there who helped invent it.”

September 11th, 2001 by Eryk Salvaggio is a work of art that reformulates one of the web television sequences perhaps the most famous of all: that of the clash of United Airlines Flight 175 with the second of the Twin Towers in New York. The artist makes a living from the sale of a megastore with appliances and in the days following the tragedy noted the images for countless times on the video-wall of TVs on display (well 126 models). The same Salvalaggio argues that the broadcast had incessant it is my main aim is to anesthetize the terror it caused up to dissect the meaning of the images from their representation. For this sequence of its twenty pages in a loop consisting of as many frames consists of ascii characters to read below is an excerpt from the 2800 list of dead and missing after the collapse of the twin towers. In the absence of interaction, this work leaves room for contemplative introspection and reflection, wiping away all the visual stimulation and returning to the letters and their meaning filter that can give a weighted and silent reading of events.
