23:04:02 vCards, greetings from a net art worms.
VCards is an innovative project of Mark Daggett, media artist from Los Angeles, (author of Deskswap, see .) that combines the knowledge of worms with that of the work of net art. From the website, you can send to the email address of the person you want an attachment represented by a 'greeting card' (vCard) format popularized by the Microsoft Outlook client. Once you open the attachment, the software collects three images from the hard disk in case the user and sends it to all the addresses from your address book. But not before having obtained the consent of the user through an explicit message that requires you to click on the button 'yes'. This voyeuristic experience, to which the author invites bluntly, makes well to reflect on the risks of personal privacy when you are online. In the best tradition, however, the code vCards is free and can be found on the project website.
