Luxurious audio formats.

The past few days have followed public demonstrations and press conferences of the two new audio formats for high fidelity. The DVD Audio, shown with some new records of classical music in New York, uses up to six speakers, and is supported primarily by IBM, Intel, Panasonic, and Toshiba, and is well received by all the majors except one. Opposite, in fact, the Super Audio CD format, with similar characteristics (the speakers are usually five), sponsored by Sony and Philips, and presented at the last Midem, where they were lined up all their subsidiaries, Virgin in particular included, with a remaster of the historic 'Tubular Bells' by Mike Oldfield.
