25.02.03 GPS Drawing, draw with GPS.
The practice of GPS (Global Positioning System) Drawing is one that allows a person with a device that converts graphically his movements, to become a human pencil on the paper's surface. Taking advantage of the network of 24 orbiting satellites that allow you to calculate with high accuracy (15 meters tolerance) the location of a transmitter at any point of the earth, more than one artist began to 'draw' flickering shapes, often traveling great distances obtained. The site of the same name dedicated to this practice, as well as a remarkable gallery of works to introduce interesting variations such as the combination of the data obtained with the altitude getting designs in three dimensions, or to 'draw' the routes of the flights. Maintained by Hugh Pryor and Jeremy Wood, the set of pages provides contributions from halfway around the world and has a specially developed software to present the designs in many ways, in addition to being useful for prints from art galleries that are already beginning to expose them .
