The fine line of public space and private phone conversations is a breeding ground for artistic experimentation, as well as 0100101110101101.ORG have recently shown as part of their project glasnost, on the sidelines of which have entrusted the band Negativland a remix of a month of private telephone calls recorded without the knowledge of the interlocutors, making the song 'what's this noise' . Now also in ' Disembodied Voices 'work of the artist Jody Zellen, we explore this type of overlap, particularly acute in the spread of the use of mobile phones in a time that dissolves the boundaries between work and rest. The draft Zellen, defined by the same author as 'a meditation on the nature of public space', is divided into a sound clash between different fragments of conversations triggered by the clash of the icons that represent them and a collective narrative, constructed through a forum, on a harrowing encounter between people realized through mobile phones.
