06:11:02 Identity Card for Internet in China.
A whole Chinese province, that of Jiangxi, has forced all users of the internet cafe (3,200 in all) to purchase some 'access cards' to be identified by police , ready to monitor who uses the Internet from public places and what they do online . The system requires users to their names, addresses and age, which are automatically uploaded into the database of the police, and in return you receive an ID card that has so far been distributed to 200,000 people. Police spokesman itself, which has not revealed his identity has naively said, "This system gives us more power to prevent crimes and identify criminals on the Internet." This is yet another attempt to block users from consulting content that the government deems dangerous or subversive. China has 65 million internet users and the authorities are trying to block first and foremost gambling sites, pornographic, extremist, apart from the foreign media and religious groups and in favor of human rights. Webmasters are also invited to censor dialogues too 'subversive' and chat in a special department of the police try to filter emails and the web looking for content that is prohibited.
