Soundbug (pictured) is one of the most interesting gadgets on display at this year's CeBIT. It is a small device able to transform a rigid surface into a soundboard. At the base of its operation there is a material called 'Terfenol-D', originally developed by the U.S. military search for its sonar. The Terfenol-D is made to sixty percent of iron insiema to a pair of rare elements which, when placed in a magnetic field do vibrate a little more than a micron, but with a force of 180 pounds). For this reason, connected to a CD player transforms the surface on which it rests (including the skull of a person) in a speaker, albeit with a fidelity lontata well as that of the hi-fi. Made in England by Olympia, a small British company, is a bit 'smaller than a mouse and is based on research of Newlands Scientific at Hull University. Will be on sale in the UK for £ 30 and the company is trying to develop a variant for mobile phones that supported the body amplify the reception throughout the interior.
