Organized by the Ann Arbor Michigan's Electronic Artist Coalition, is being Immedia 2002 digital and electronic art exhibition , an international festival of electronic art divided into different areas of selection (installation, video, web, animation, performance, music, and static works design). Crowded, in particular, the web section with 'The Central City' and 'Amorphoscapes' of English Room, 'N3XT' Shirin Kouldije, combined and interactive animations, 'Time as a Color' by Christopher Otto, time is understood as a combination hour-minute-second combined with percentages of red-green-blue and made with a single color resulting 'IO-N' and 'Sous Terre' by Gregory Chatonsky, an intriguing visual reflection on the Paris metro, 'Eidetic Memory' Rick Mullarky, everyday images in memory as shown in a daydream and 'Eat The Monster' by Matthew Shultz, hypertext literature that dynamically recombines three different stories, depending on the paths chosen by the player. In the section devoted to the sounds should mention the presence of Italian Franco De Grassi with his 'Zoloft', a composition obtained entirely by sampling the first twenty seconds of the 'Sequenza V' by Luciano Berio for solo trombone and reprocess all through granular synthesis C-Sound. Among the conferences, finally, were those of Golan Levin, one of the students of John Maeda at the MIT Media Lab, who will present 'Scribble', a performance of combinations studied time and time between random sounds and colors making use of the Audiovisual Environment Suite, and the closing held by Richie Hawtin, aka Plastikman, about his recent support for the Final Scratch software that allows you to manipulate acoustically sound files through a turntable connected to the PC and a vinyl as an interface.
