If art network is also characterized by the use of its unconventional technologies, then the Googlewhacking is in all respects a work of art disguised as a collective practice, from spontaneous play born from the imagination of Gary Stock, although he admits that he only invented the term and not the mechanism. The Googlewhacking consists in finding two common terms that sought with the Google search engine to give rise to a single page found (as a 'cartographer' + 'hairball'). In short, the goal is to get the legendary phrase 'Results 1-1 of 1'. After searching for your name (ego-surfing) and then that of their loved ones, this is the next conceptual evouzione in using search engines for the game. In Googlewhacking the thrill but it lasts a moment, as once reported the combination of one of the sites that collects the pairs of terms that work, Google will store this too and the result will be 'Results 1-2 of 2', and you will have to start again. After several cheap to turn this practice into a business, the only ones to play the game were those of Google, who asked Stock potergli send a t-shirt as a token of thanks for the fun apportatogli.
