I’m Steve Jobs.’ And he looked so young, like a college guy. And he told me that he would still send me one now. And then he gave me a lesson on drawing with it. It only comes in black and white now, but they’ll make it soon in color…I felt so old and out of it with this young whiz guy right there who helped invent it.”

Created by the couple Tom Corby and Gavin Baily reconnoitre is a client software for PCs with search capabilities on the network and display of 3D environments. The experience that the authors want to trigger is the use of a 'bizarre_scape', a bizarre scene, where the world accessible online has boundaries that are continually reconfigured under the pressure of social forces or commercial purposes. The act of search and navigation through another example of an alternative browser, which, triggered by keywords, offers anti-functional results, transforming logical paths in simple visual and verbal poetry explored in three dimensional space and meaning never unique.
