“Art Post-Internet” was an exhibition curated by Karen Archey and Robin Peckham for the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing in spring 2014. The 8bit scene owes a tribute to the creators of the moral community Micromusic , not only for evolution, debate and discussion that it represents, but also for the products that it can express. ‘Music for Joggers’ is a compilation where each copy made is made by hand, but keeping meticulous care that justifies the limited edition of 200 copies. The community here actively reflects its own developments, in ten different tracks that delineate a ‘genre’ mature, able to range from the most disparate crossover to the cover of famous pop songs. These achievements, together with the inherent limitations tecnologiacamente and the amazing talents instead acquired are highlighted in a system that extends with extreme spontaneity with the attached multimedia contributions to the different productions, from micro to video tracks in multiple audio formats. A micro-universe that does not mind a good dose of irony. The editors of the site have, in fact, started to sell from the same site a couple of jogging shoes as an ideal complement to the compilation, mediating the style of a collective product with that of one who wishes to reflect the identity and aesthetic that serves mainly to supportarne financially infrastructure.
