During this past August, the collective of Riga (Latvia) headed by the king-lab and Acoustic Space magazine, has organized an international meeting of twenty-five artists in the village of Irbene, where there is a satellite dish with a diameter of 32 meters , once used by the KGB to intercept satellite transmissions between Europe and North America. After the cheerful and fruttuso happening was born a communication network formed by the participants with as many projects audio, video and web documented and testable. Kim Cascone, Locomotives, Mukul, Kevin P, Sara Kolster and Ambient TV, among others, have treasured the experience with different techniques, from processing audio in Quicktime VR, reformulating the meaning of a place, a tool and a 'collective experience.
